Foot-Synching or, The Sound Hunter

A performance series that practices “foot-synching”, a method of walking quietly in synchronisation with a pre-recorded sounds. The work retraces the quiet presence of the sound-hunter, an auto-fictive persona that operates in the margins of audibility, often discerned through the slightest of movements, the shuffle of feet or husk of breath. Playful, critical and itinerant, the work mixes live and pre-recorded sound, objects, voice, actions and amplified materials.

First performed at Café Oto as part of the event: On Capture.
